ZONING
The following information has been extracted from the Municipal Code of the City of Delta, Chapter 17.
The B-2 Zoning District is intended for a large variety of uses to conveniently serve customers.
B-1 ZONING USES BY RIGHT: <All B-1 Uses are also permitted within B-2 zones>
- Retail stores, business and professional offices and service establishments that cater to the general shopping public.
- Libraries and museums.
- Government buildings and facilities.
- Public utility service facilities.
- Private and fraternal clubs.
- Theaters and places of amusement.
- Restaurants and taverns.
- Depots.
- Churches (off-street parking required).
- Child care centers and family child care homes (off-street parking required).
- Hotels and motels (off-street parking required).
- Parking lots and garages.
- Single family homes, duplexes, dwelling units in buildings containing other uses, and multiple family residences (off-street parking required).
- Schools (off-street parking required).
- Retail stores, business and service
establishments serving the general public but which also involve
limited manufacturing of the products supplied. - Funeral homes (off-street parking required).
- Parks and playgrounds.
- Accessory uses.
- Adult care facilities (off-street parking
required).
B-2 ZONING USES BY RIGHT:
- Those listed in the B-1 District as “uses by right”

- Bowling alleys.
- Car washes.
- Rental storage units with a maximum rental unit
size of three hundred (300) square feet. - Veterinary clinics or hospitals for small
animals. - Nursing homes, sanatoriums, and hospitals.
- Retail building material supply businesses.
- Gas stations and vehicle repair businesses.
- Farm implement and vehicle sales and service establishments.
- Wholesale distribution.
- Greenhouses.
B-2 ZONING CONDITIONAL USES (specific conditions not listed here):
- Travel home parks.
- Small manufacturing operations
- Medical marijuana cultivation
- Mobile home sales establishments.
- Medical marijuana sales
- Veterinary clinics or hospitals for large
animals. - Bulk Feed and storage and sales establishments.
- Construction and contractor’s equipment storage facilities.
The following uses are not to be construed as a “use by right” or “conditional use” in the B-2 District:
- Machine and welding shops.
- Aboveground storage facilities for hazardous fuels.
- Manufacturing and industrial uses except as specifically allowed above.
- Storage facilities (small rental storage units are allowed).
